Three

Rising from the flood waters, lots of local businesses still closed or partially, awaiting verdicts or advice from the loss adjustors, environmental health and the like. Short-lived thundery deluges today do not make anyone feel better. We hope the Handmade Parade will. I will try not to weep throughout.

Two delicate and beautiful yellow irises, raindrops still gleaming on their curved petals, soar in their vase on the table before me.

All my dreams are of being left behind and lost in strange cities.

How wretched a time this must be, for you and your lovely, vibrant community. The misery and anxiety clearly remains long after the news reporting moves on. Thinking of you.

Yes, thinking of you and your community. I'm glad there are some moments of beauty amid the mess and confusion.
