Sleepless

Bought a loaf called Sleepless White (it cooks overnight) then went upstairs to the cafe where Kate Rusby's album Sleepless was playing. Drank tea then went to therapy where I talked about my dream about lions. Though not much.

Last night was every bit as bad as the bad old nights. Maybe three hours' sleep, looking at it as optimistically as possible. Listening to the Sleepio imaging recording (in your mind you go to a relaxing place - healthy-looking grass, little birds, a path leading down to a beach, take off your shoes and walk in the sand, feel the breeze and the sun on your shoulders...), reading Little O, listening to Radio 3 very quietly at 3.30am. Up at 5.50.

Oh well, not great. There are these nights and I hope only some.
I used to listen to this really great trance talk which worked excellently for some time. But eventually I would go, shit he's now talking about the ship, that means it's more than half way through and bang, I'd be freaking awake.
But you will get better.
As did I.

I don't want to pry but have you ever had a hormone check up? Sleep problems can be related to hormonal imbalances due to, e.g., menopause. I have seen a couple of papers on that but I am not a doctor. But maybe talk to a good gyno or endocrinologist?

Bad luck, so sorry.

I know I keep saying but if you haven't do try the magnesium, it's cheap and might help...
