Winter Wonderland
Incredible ice crystals - frost on snow. I've never seen anything like these long feathery structures sitting lightly on top of the powdery snow. Click to enlarge, though even then it may be hard to get the full effect.

Lovely photos! The frost on snow is incredible. I wish we would have snow for Christmas yet I know it causes havoc for travelers. Hope your Christmas is calm and quiet and joyful.

That first shot is just amazing, well worth clicking on twice to get it really big, and then it looks like a painting with white brush dabs!
