Up to my ears in
human factors, situational awareness,
mental models, error chains and
red flags. Why so much jargon for 'people make mistakes, get distracted, don't notice obvious things, make assumptions... one thing leads to another, and there are warning signs when things are going wrong'?
PS I hate Powerpoint

Perhaps rendering the jargon into something commonsense and comprehensible is one of the most important things you have to do... Good luck!
Thanks mate
Yes, what Lucy said! And I'm with you on PowerPoint - if you're absolutely expected to use it, the greatest favour you can do your students in my opinion is keep each one as brief and simple as possible.
Never mind, because today is Armageddon (in roughly one and a half hours) :)
Amen, and amen. To your post, not that silly Armageddon crap.
