My feet are warm inside my socks, inside my new slippers. My heels and the balls of my feet make the strongest contact, through these layers, with the softness of carpet, the hardness of floorboards beneath - hot-spots of sensation.
I have new slippers too, FB. It is good to come into the new year well-shod - at least in terms of interiors. Still need to sort out walking shoes and get rid of 20-year-old Doc Martens.
