All the work on the house bar the decorating will be finished before Christmas (or so the builder said this morning)...

We are going to the cinema tonight to see Bright Star - Jane Campion's latest, she of An Angel at my Table, The Piano and Holy Smoke! fame. All of which I'd rate as amongst my favourite films ever, so let's hope this one joins their ranks...
Two lovely bottles of wine have just arrived - a white Burgundy and a Medoc, which is a good claret - from my dear Aunt and Uncle, who treat us in this way every Christmas...
Tomorrow is officially my last day in my current employment. L and I will celebrate with dinner in our favourite restaurant in town...

(Just an idea, but when you've a moment could you change your comment settings? The verification box at the bottom of the page is quite difficult, they often don't register, and take two or three goes which is frustrating, or people don't even notice them there like Isabelle on the last one... It's on Settings - Comments, and you just tick the one for 'open in a new window' or 'open on a new page'.)
