Handmade Parade

As promised pictures from the Handmade Parade on Saturday. The theme this year was YUM! The Fabulous Feast. Not sure what else I can say.

Where else are you going to see a grown man dressed as a portion of chips? It's R to be precise, who is coming to mend our fence and construct a couple of raised beds for us tomorrow! Pursued by a burger monster...

Greedy mouths...

The bees section, featuring L in perhaps her weirdest costume to date!

King prawn.

Four and twenty blackbirds...

The Parade ends in our local park, where things get steadily more surreal as the finale gets under way. Don't ask. The message is green...

I found L! These are terrific, even better than last year I reckon, and the chips man is hilarious. The 4 and 20 blackbirds are quite macabre. It all looks such fun. Good job it stayed dry, though, I imagine it could all have got a bit soggy...

That isn't by any chance a wicker chicken, is it? With someone inside? :)

L - yes, there was a shower just before the parade set off, and then it stayed dry all afternoon. As many of the costumes are predominantly painted cardboard, it was just as well...

Signs - oh yes, that's exactly what it is. Good, eh?

Can't tell which I like best, the giant chicken or the Prawn That Ate Las Vegas.

That all looks joyfully bonkers! (Isabelle)
