The Hard Way

I started at the school this morning, seeing my two brave boys for the first time in a very small room from which sometimes classroom noise can be heard, sometimes feet and voices passing in the corridor. The room also, disconcertingly, though also usefully, has a toilet off it, which can be entered either from my room, or from the corridor on the other side. At some point during the second session, someone entered and proceeded to make audible use of the facilities... Schools!

Having had very little sleep, I certainly felt I was doing things the hard way, but do them I did, and a start has been made, and I will definitely not be so anxious next week. I might write more at some point about this sleep issue (can't sleep if getting up in the morning to do anything I'm more than a little nervous about.)

Now my eyes are sore, the clouds are breaking up and the sun has started to come out, and I'm torn between a walk and falling into bed.

Hope it felt good, whether you opted for walk or sleep! The first time at anything is alwasy the hardest.

Thanks Jean - the sleep won out! Yes, such a relief when it's over and you know it will never be the first time again!
