Indian summer is giving way slowly to the inevitable march of autumn, the sky subdued today, a little more wind picking up, a gradual drop in the temperature. The unseasonable heat has been a little confusing to body and mind, whilst certainly delightful and welcome after the disappointing summer. Sun cream in October - when did that happen before? 1985 I read somewhere, but I certainly don't remember if so.
